Inside you will find a new steering wheel and an option to add a heating package to it for comfort during colder months. The seats have also been redesigned to provide more comfort to both the driver and passengers. The new seating comes with new trims varying from alternate materials and colors. The new center console is designed around the driver and makes it even easier to control every aspect of the vehicle comfortably. There is even plenty of cargo space so you can bring everything you need for all of your adventures.
Technology
The 2017 Ford Escape comes with all the technology you have been waiting for. It has adaptive cruise control to determine when speeds are decreasing in front of you and change automatically so you do not have to do much work. There is a hands-free foot activated component under the rear bumper so you can open it even if your hands are full. You can get notified when you unintentionally drift out of your lane. There is even voice activated technology while using the interior console that will make it even easier to go hands-free and focus on the road ahead.
Performance
There are three available engines with the new 2017 Ford Escape, depending on the model you get. The 2.5L with independent variable cam timing (iVCT) is the standard engine. You can also choose the 1.5L 1.5L EcoBoost® iVCT for a more fuel efficient engine. In fact, it is the most fuel efficient option available. If you want an engine that will provide you with more power, then you want the 2.0L EcoBoost with responsive twin-scroll turbocharger. All models come with the 6-Speed SelectShift® Automatic Transmission for ease of driving.
Safety
The 2017 Ford Escape has an overall NHTSA safety rating of 5 stars. Ford values the safety of all of its vehicles and the Ford Escape is no different. It has all of the standard safety features plus some additional ones you are looking for in a safe vehicle. It has emergency braking assist to help you in case you do not notice a sudden stop in front of your Escape while driving. It has adaptive cruise control to maintaining the correct speed even if you do not notice a small change in speed while using cruise control while driving.
